What Radian can and can't do on your Mac
What it is
Radian is a menu-bar Mac app with a local daemon that watches your Docker containers, processes, and system resources, plus an iPhone app that receives alerts and approvals. The daemon runs on your machine. There is no cloud agent operating your Mac.
What runs without asking
Read-only checks: container status, log reads, resource stats. That's how Radian knows something broke. None of it changes your machine.
What never runs without your tap
Anything that changes the box. When something breaks, the proposed fix is shown on your phone as the exact commands it wants to run. The command you approve is the command that runs, byte for byte. Nothing gets expanded, substituted, or reinterpreted after your tap. If you don't tap, nothing happens; the alert just waits.
What leaves your machine
The diagnostic context for a failure (logs around the incident and container metadata) is sent to an AI model through a proxy we operate, to produce the diagnosis and fix proposal. Telemetry is encrypted in transit and at the application layer. Your code, your files, and anything not involved in an incident stay where they are.
Uninstall
Quit the app, delete it, done. The daemon goes with it. No kernel extensions, no system modifications, no leftovers that need a cleanup script.
